A little bit of everything...

First, thank you to everyone who left me such encouraging comments from my last post about being nervous. You guys are the best. I'm feeling much better about the race now. Today was supposed to be my long last run, but my leg was feeling a little funny so I only did 3 miles instead of the 5.5. I can make up the miles later on in the week, and if not, I'm not going to worry about it.
The 10K that I am running is part of the The Lost Dutchman Marathon, and the race is run right by the Superstition Mountain. This is what you see from all points along the race. If anything, I will definitely enjoy the views.

I finally found something I can knit while watching LOST. This is my first try at knitting a hat, and I was surprised at how easy it was to knit. I used the basic roll brim hat pattern from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I made this hat for Hats Off to Megan.

I also made these great hand warmers for my aunt's birthday (please excuse the mess around my laptop). She loved them. I used Malabrigo yarn, and the pattern is also from Last Minute Knitted Gifts.

I have a pair of these handwarmers as well, and I use them when I run. They're actually perfect for me because gloves are always too hot, and yet without gloves, my hands always freeze.

Boot camp starts up again tomorrow morning and I'm excited about getting back into a regular workout routine. Have a great week.

If that's the view you get to see on your run-you'll do GREAT!!! There is nothing better than running with a stunning view! Make sure you take you camera with you and take a picture or two at the race!!! It's always nice to have!!!

I was so close to staying on my couch and watching the rest of the movie-but that's what TIVO is for!!!
Of course I'm a bit sore but Velcro, my dog, is FINE!! Aren't they irritating! Of course nothing that a glass of wine can't help!!

Don't worry about not getting 5.5 miles in today!!! Even if you don't run it you'll be fine! is the race on saturday or sunday?

Great knits! I started off making hats and they're still my favorite to knit. I'm working on Koolhaus right now... I'll blog about it... I swear :)

If the race is this weekend don't worry about making up the miles. You'll just wear yourself out too close to the race date. Better to save up energy :):)
Good job!
