My stomach is just now getting back to normal. That paired with jet lag just wouldn't let me get out of bed this morning to get to boot camp. So I haven't done any running or workouts in five days. I hate feeling this way but I suppose if I don't listen to my body now, it will probably just take even longer for me to get back to 100%.
I did loose two pounds and got to eat Maine lobster, so the weekend was not all that bad.
While we were in Boston, (and before the stomach virus hit me), we went to Finale for dessert. If you are ever in Boston, this is one place you MUST go to. We ordered the Whole Nine Yards and it was so yummy.

These are the socks I knit up for my mom for Mother's Day. I used Flat Feet yarn from Conjoined Creations, and just did a simple 3 by 1 ribbing. I think any other pattern probably wouldn't look right because the colors were just so rich and bright.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

I remember trying to knit when I was younger. I never could quite get it!
Oh that is not fun the virus that is. I hope you are back to 100% now. That desert tray looks like heaven to me!! It is good news that you got to partake in some of that!

Awwwhhh man, I'm sorry to hear about the sickness :-( I'm glad you're feeling on the up now :-)
I bet you'll be back at it in a couple of days. Dessert looked so delicious. Sorry your trip was a little interrupted by the virus.
That plate looks yummy!
That's too bad that you haven't been feeling so good- but very responsible on your part for letting your body rest and recuperate! Hope you're feeling better:)
LOL, he says he still is but it's been awhile . .those 2 weeks are coming up fast. It might be the end for Mr McG soon ;-)
OMG Eileen, those desserts look SO GOOD. Sorry about the stomach virus - you've probably already done this, but drink carbonated stuff! Ginger ale is supposed to help settle your stomach. And definitely rest your body. You don't want to risk stressing it out when you're just starting to get better!
Hey! I've been MIA as well. I've been moving around visiting family but my blog is coming back soon :) Sorry about your stomach virus - booo. and on your vacation too. Hope you're feeling better soon :)
Oh Damn. I'm so sorry. I just did the Charles River a couple times and it was lovely. I hope there is a next time for you. At least you got lobster. I had lobster rolls and lots of clam chowder.
Feel better.
That dessert looks beautiful! I've always wanted to take a trip to Boston -- I've never been!
