No running as I'm still waiting for my new running shoes to come in. I decided to order the same shoes that I had before, and wouldn't you know those take 7 - 10 days to arrive. I was going to try running with my old shoes, but thought I'd better not risk it. So the new shoes will be here on Wednesday, and you can bet I'm going to try them out as soon as I get my hands on them.
Nike posted training plans for the marathon and half marathon. I was still searching for a plan until I found these, so now I'm all set.
Here are the socks I knit for one of the lucky winners of the IWLC. I love how they turned out. I used Fannie's Fingering weight yarn by Farmhouse yarns, and the pattern is Blueberry Waffle Socks. I've already made a note to get more of this yarn and knit some socks up for myself.
Last night, Mr. Running Knitter and I went to see Wanted. Great movie. If you like "Matrix" type movies, you'll enjoy it. Afterwards, we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. The Factory Peach Bellini is probably the best drink invented - just my opinion.
I'll post again after I try out the new shoes. Have a great week!

Glad you are doing better.
My goodness Nancy is committed. :)

I'm glad the foot is doing better :-) Those are some pretty sweet socks right there!!
I just got a third pair of shoes for my rotation... Asics GT2130.. Once my new pink ones hit 100 miles, I'll add a 4th pair. I'm such a shoe whore!
Guess waiting on shoes means you have more time to knit!!
Glad the foot is feeling better.
Are you getting as restless as I am wiithout running???
Wanted is a cute movie. And thats great that you're all healed! You must be excited about the new shoes.
Hope the new shoes work for you!
I'm a running knitter too, although I've never made socks, only scarves and baby hats!
Hope you get your shoes soon!
Glad you are healing up nicely.
I want the socks so badly! But I know it is probably not meant to be (*pout*) since people are losing weight about three times faster than I am. Sneaky bastards.
So you liked "wanted"? I want to see it, but my hubs is hesitant. I'll pass along your review.
Socks look great!
Ooh new shoes - did you get super cute shoes? I'm usually too practical to talk myself into the super cute shoes and usually buy the very comfortable, totally supporting, but not so cute running shoes. But sometimes in a great long while, the super-cuteness coincides with a perfect fit - and I do the happy dance :)
Glad your foot is doing better!
Will your foot be ok for the 5k Friday? I love the socks, supah cute!
You sound like a smart runner. I think you're saving yourself some big heartache by waiting out on your long run and listening to your body.
Cute socks! I only crochet but I'd like to learn to knit one day.
Socks are cute. Glad to hear the foot is feeling better.
Hope your foot is better! I thought of you when I started a beaded capelet when I was with my mom (hard not to start a new project when I visit our shop!) The blueberry socks are yummy!
I am glad you are able to start running again. The socks really turned out beautiful and look so cozy. I really thought about riging it and getting me those socks :-)
I LOVED WANTED!! I left feeling like a bad a$$
