Wee Tiny Sock Swap and a great run (finally!)

Yesterday I received my package from the Wee Tiny Sock Swap. Caroline made the cutest tiny sock, complete with sock blocker. She even included a mini skein of yarn (an excellent idea!) and the best card. The inside of the card says "Whaddya MEAN, you'd kinda like one for the other foot?" Card is by Itty Bitty Witty Knitties. I love it. Thank you Caroline!
Yesterday I was determined not to let the sun beat me up again on my run. I was running by 6:30 AM and finally had a great run. You know those runs where it's just you and the road, and everything goes right, and you forget you're running? Yep - one of those runs. I did my fastest 4 miles. Not bad considering the first 1.75 miles were all up hill.
I found out yesterday that I will be in town the weekend of April 19th, so I'm going to sign up for the Pat Tillman run. Any other Valley runners doing this run?
Hope everyone has a great week!

The socks are tiny!

I love good runs! Nothing feels better! I'm so glad you got one in and that the heat and sun didn't deter you!!!! You are a stronger woman than me! Yippee!

I'm hoping to get a run in tonight-this weekend has been such a running bust-but it's my body telling me I need rest! The joy of getting old! Ha!

Velcro was much better today herding! We have 2 weeks until the Australian Cattle Dog Club of Greater LA herding Trial that is the weekend of the 19th and 20th April. So we're heading down to Escondido on saturday to practice on the course at our instructors ranch and also to herd cattle for the very first time! I'm so excited!!!!

Good job for waking up that early for a run! I love the satisfaction of running uphill for part of it, too:)

I'm so excited for you to run the Nike Half in SF! I'm from Northern California and I did my first half marathon March 1st. I didn't start running til JANUARY 1st. (One of those New Year Resolutions). Now I'm planning out my next half, 20 mile and marathon runs before the year is out. I'm totally addicted. Anyhow I'm so proud of you and I wish I could knit but I do photography so I guess everyone has their tallents. I'll be watching you for incentive and motivation!

I really wish I was doing the Pat Tillman run. It's the day before Tri for the Cure though so I am out. Hopefully next year as I hear it's a great race!

The Pat Tillman run looks great but until I discover a faster/cheaper way to get from coast to coast - I'm going to have to limit my west coast runs! :D Already coming out for races in Aug (SF 1/2) and Sept (PG Tri). I think it's great that a race in Pat's honor is growing though. Best of luck with the run - and thanks for sharing the pics of the wee sock swap. Good times.

Good job on the 4 miler. I can't run under the sun at all -- has to be either early morning or late evening for me.

I so need a good run! My calf is feeling better, so I am hoping to get back to it this week. Tonight is tax night with the ex - we still have to do them together this year. I may need a run when it is all done! LOL. I will send you a link to knitting photos soon. I'm enjoying knitting monkey socks. My daughter wants a pair too.
